About us

Dear Friends, Volunteers and Funders,

In 2018, Crimson Charities will continue to focus on helping to transform communities by strengthening people and families with compassion. I have been working diligently to establish core programming for youth and adults this year. For youth programming we are offering many opportunities around the arts and academics by offering free arts & craft and music classes, and a homework center thanks to our dedicated volunteers.

For adults, the community center provides a support group for people affected by trauma, abuse or domestic violence; healing rooms; a food pantry; homeownership education classes; and life coaching sessions. Thanks to our volunteers we have also started to teach sewing to people so they can build employment skills. Our programming takes place mostly in the evenings Monday to Thursdays. Please visit other sections of our website to learn more about all our programs.

In fact, our community center is becoming a safe haven for kids and adults as we planned. Please email me to schedule a visit or learn more about our programs. It is my interest to establish partnerships with the community in everything we do. I appreciate the reception I have received this past year to partner with our agency to bring services to the West Allis community and other areas.

To this end, I am committed to continue to build our programs and resources because we love our cities and the people. Our board believes that with LOVE and COMPASSION we can help transform communities. This past summer, we had 175 kids in KidsFest, 10 women involved in-group, distributed dozens of boxes of food to homes, and had over 100 volunteers this summer alone. On behalf of the board, staff, program participants, and partners I want to thank you for giving of your time, talent and/or treasures.

Sincerely,

Jessica Gonzalez
